Student satisfaction high at secondary college

A survey of student satisfaction at Brisbane Water Secondary College has shown it is higher than the state average.

"This fantastic feedback reflects the supportive, vibrant, and inspiring environment we've built together," said Woy Woy campus principal Ms Rebecca Cooper.

"Thank you to our amazing students, staff, and community for making our school a place where learning, growth, and connection thrive every day."

They survey found that students flet accepted and valued by their peers and by others at their school.

They felt classroom instruction is well-organised, with a clear purpose, and with immediate feedback that helps them learn.

Students felt they had someone at school who consistently provided encouragement and could be turned to for advice.

Students reported that school staff emphasised academic skills and held high expectations for all students to succeed.

Aboriginal students reported they felt good about their culture while at school (84 per cent) and that teachers understood their culture (75 per cent).
