Charity bowls day was cold, windy and successful

Ettalong Bowling Club held its charity bowls day on Sunday, September 15, with 50 attendees plus social bowlers and "the Rebels", according to organiser Mr Ken Dixon.

It was a "cold, windy" and "successful" day which raised $1055 for Central Coast Kids in Need.

"The spider was won for the first time by Jenny Hibbert and the winning rink went to Lyn Sawyer, Ray Reed and Bob Epis.

"We all enjoyed salad and meat rolls for lunch.

"Kitty Peterson was a prolific winner cleaning up with six prizes including the Michel's Voucher.

"Kitty turns 100 next month so some early birthday presents went her way.

"The Wednesday Bowlers Vodka prize went to Bob Willis who donated it for auction with Alan Walton the winning bidder raising another $50 for charity."

The next Charity Bowls Day will be held on Sunday, October 20.
