Arboretum seeks artist-in-residence
The Pearl Beach Arboretum is seeking expressions of interest for an Artist-in-Residence and in its Local Emerging Artist Program.
The two positions will be part of the Pearl Beach Ephemeral Art Trail next yaer.
"The successful artist-in-residence applicant will receive a $5000 artist fee plus $2000 towards two weeks accommodation in Pearl Beach," said arboretum secretary Ms Mary Knaggs.
"The Artist-in-Residence will be required to run at least two community or school workshops and will also mentor the Emerging Local Artist.
"The recently-upgraded Crommelin Cottage at the Arboretum will be the Artist-in-Residence Studio," she said.
The Local Emerging Artist must live on the Central Coast and will receive a $2500 artist fee in return for five days assisting the Artist-in-Residence and five days creating their own work.
Expressions of interest must be submitted by midnight Sunday, November 10.
