School leaders conduct Anzac service

School leaders at Umina Beach Public School led the school's Anzac Day service on Thursday, April 11.

"Our school leaders did themselves and our school proud today as they respectfully, and with great maturity, led our Anzac Day service," said principal Ms Karen Wardlaw.

"All our students showed the highest level of respect as they participated in today's honouring commemoration as our school gathered to acknowledge those who served and gave their lives in service for this country.

"We acknowledged the courage, bravery, mateship and compassion that symbolises the Anzac spirit.

"We shared the sorrow of those who mourn and honoured the memory of those who served, thankful for the freedom we enjoy today."
