Women's bowling president's three years celebrated

Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club celebrated president Gale Hill's three-year term as president with a Special Day on Tuesday, April 9.

Members welcomed her, together with club life member and Bowls NSW director Lesley Swales and Central Coast Women's president Claudia Lawrence, with a guard of honour.

A morning tea was served with a pink theme and then it was on to the green for a game of bowls.

The non-bowlers were moved to the lounge area so the auditorium could be re-decorated.

When Gale entered the auditorium for lunch, she was surprised with a mauve theme depicting jacarandas, reminiscent of Gale's home town of Grafton.

Among the guests were Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club president Tom Burgmann and secretary Peter Springett.
