Local Members hold joint cost-of-living forum
A "cost-of-living forum" will be held jointly in Narara by Federal Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid and State Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16.
It had been organised to help people experiencing financial difficulties, Dr Reid said.
He said the forum, to be held in Narara Community Centre, would bring together key government departments and agencies including Services Australia, Service NSW, and Central Coast Council, to discuss available support.
"The Federal and State Governments' top priority is helping assist Australians with the cost of living, especially here on the Central Coast," said Dr Reid.
"Federal, State, and Local Governments have a range of assistance available, including energy bill relief, water bill relief and internet relief.
"I would encourage those interested to visit my website to register their attendance."
Ms Tesch said: "We know that cost-of-living is the number one issue that our community is facing, and we are committed to providing relief, including energy bill relief, increasing the supply of affordable homes, toll relief and early childhood education rebates.
"I encourage everyone to come along and get information on what assistance is available across all levels of government," Ms Tesch said.
The forum will run from 10:30am until 12pm.
Bookings are essential and may be made on Dr Reid's website, https://www.drgordonreidmp.com.au.
