Round six of pennant bowls played at Umina

Round six of Pennant bowls was played at Umina on Saturday, April 6.

"A big crowd watched the Umina's Open 5s, 6s and 7 Blue pennant teams play at home," said club secretary Mr Peter Springett.

"It was great to see both greens being fully utilised."

In Grade 2, Umina was due to play away against ladder leaders Davistown.

The game was cancelled, due to water-logged greens at Davistown.

In Grade 5, Umina played against Wyong Roos at home.

Umina 55 defeated Wyong 46. Umina won nine points and Wyong one point.

In Grade 6, Umina played against Ourimbah Magpies at home.

Umina 57 defeated Ourimbah 51. Umina won 9 points and Ourimbah one point.

In Grade 7 Blue, Umina played against Bateau Bay Stingrays at home.

Umina 53 lost to Bateau Bay 59, Umina won two points and Bateau Bay eight points.

In Grade 7 Red, Umina was due to play away, at Wyong.

The game was called off, as the green was too wet.
