Parents encouraged to take part in survey

Umina Beach Public School is encouraging parents to take part in the Tell Them From Me parent survey, which is open until the end of the term.

"I really encourage parents to take the time to share your thoughts with us, so that we can reflect on our progress towards our school goals, which centre on seeing each and every student thrive, learn and grow each year," said principal Ms Karen Wardlaw.

"I look forward to hearing your thoughts, suggestions and recommendations."

Ms Wardlaw said: "Contributing to our fortnightly newsletter is often a time for me to reflect on the previous productive weeks and look forward to the vibrant and varied school activities ahead.

"I'm often prompted to consider the role of a school leader and reflect on my own personal impact in this role.

"School leaders play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of students, supporting and guiding staff, managing school operations, and engaging with the community and.

"My own leadership goals include working collaboratively to create a positive, effective, and inclusive learning environment where all our students can thrive and every student, teacher and leader improves, learns and grows each year.

"It is really important for me to engage in feedback and evaluation processes so that I can reflect, refine and improve."
