Rain recorded on just one day this month

Just one fall of 21.5mm has been recorded in the first two weeks of September.

It was recorded on September 13, and represents one third of the average monthly rainfall of 65mm for September, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

It brings the cumulative total for the year to 1144.4mm, which is 11.2 per cent more than the end of the September average of 1029mm.

Only 22.5mm has been recorded in the last 30 days, the longest dry spell this year.
