Escape bags for people fleeing domestic violence

Escape bags with essential supplies for people fleeing domestic or family violence are now available at Woy Woy and Umina libraries.

The bags, distributed by the charity EscaBags, are not gender-specific and come in two variations: Parent and Child, and Single Adult.

Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid said: "Central Coast Council has agreed to stock the bags at several libraries across the region.

"Domestic and family violence is a scourge in our community, and we all need to play a part to end the violence."

Information about Escabags is available online at https://escabags.org/ or inquire at the libraries.
