Hospital holds barbecue for RUOK day

Brisbane Waters Private has held barbecue for staff and patients as a way to bring people together on RUOK Day.

"The people in your world won't always tell you if something's troubling them," said hospital chief executive Mr Stephen Johnston.

"It's important that you make asking Are you OK? a part of your everyday relationships with friends, family, teammates and colleagues."

He said it could make a real impact in the workplace to ask the question: "Are you OK?"

"As employers or staff, we can all create a culture where people feel confident asking and answering this simple yet important question.

"A conversation could change a life."
