Late night flight noise caused loss of income

On Friday, October 11, I found out why I have some disrupted nights.

At 2am, I was awakened by an aeroplane flying overhead, clearly doing laps of the area.

The noise of the engine would fade a little, then get louder, then fade a little again, then get louder again.

This continued until I finally fell asleep again at 3.30am.

It wasn't a search and rescue helicopter.

And I checked the usual flight radar apps, and nothing was shown, leading me to believe that this was a council-government-authorised flight.

As a sole trader, this completely disrupted my work on Friday, and resulted in a loss of income.

I doubt the tight-fisted council will give me compensation for disrupting the way I make a living.

It does make me wonder, as someone who recently discovered that cloud seeding is not a "conspiracy theory" but has been active in Australia since 1940s (although "officially" doesn't happen except for the Snowy Mountains area), whether my disruptive night was the set-up for the weekend's rainfall.

In any case, there needs to be a stop to late-night noise pollution.
