Final play for year starts in two weeks
Woy Woy Little Theatre will stage its final play for the year with 10 performances over three weekends from Friday, October 25
The play is Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon.
The play is based on the premise that: "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single woman lacking a fortune must be in want of a husband."
It is a playful riff on Jane Austen's much-loved novel, said Little Theatre marketing manager Mr Graham Vale.
"This farcical romantic-comedy focuses on awkward middle sister Mary Bennet as she finds love with Mr. Darcy's equally awkward cousin, Arthur de Bourgh."
The Little Theatre production is directed by Sarah Lovesy, with a cast of Kirsti Blythe, Samara Dawson, Jake Cain-Roser, Tahni DeAthe, Lucia Mandile, Karyn Wiffen, Jarrod Rizzardo and Troy Hester.
Bookings are open.
