Triples carnival attracts 26 teams
The Open Gender Graded Triples carnival at Everglades Country Club on Wednesday, April 17, attracted 26 teams with 78 bowlers.
Winners were Kevin Hughes, Peter Gaffel and Andrew McDonald.
Second were J Telfar, M Brown and R Hamilton.
Third were Donn Eagleson, Mal Hughes and Karen Eagleson.
"It was a day of fun, laughter and friendship with various clubs across the Coast participating in the carnival," said Everglades member Vicki Redrup.
"The weather was kind to us with sunshine while bowling and a bit of rain at the lunch break."
Among the organisers were Col Nicholls who initiated the idea of the carnival,
Grant Ireland who managed all entries, cards and scoring, and Richard Carlyle who ran the barbecue.
