Tennis clubs join to celebrate Empire Bay centenary
Woy Woy Tennis Club has joined with to Empire Bay Tennis Club to celebrate the Empire Bay club's centenary on Friday, April 20.
"It was a great day celebrating our centenary," said Empire Bay vice-president Mr Rod Lang.
"Who would have thought when they built the first court on the area where the fire station now sits that 100 years later people would be still enjoying the great social game of tennis at Empire Bay?
"The game, racquets, balls and clothing has changed but the wonderful social nature of the game hasn't."
Club members and guests "took a step back in time" dressing in the clothing of the period to commemorate the occasion.

Last weekend the two clubs met for the Nadal Div Doubles Final.
Woy Woy won 6-2, 6-2 against Empire Bay.
