New secretary appointed at progress association
A new secretary has been appointed by the Pearl Beach Progress Association following the resignation of the group's president, secretary and assistant secretary.
Ms Donna Higgins was appointed at an executive meeting last month, which decided not to appoint a president or assistant secretary.
The next community meeting of the association is due to be held at 5pm on Saturday, May 4, at the Pearl Beach Community Memorial Hall.
The March general meeting of the association discussed a proposal to spend $50,000 on a hall upgrade which would insulate its roof.
The Pearl Beach Community breakfast barbecues have been suspended.
"We hope to resume this monthly event as soon as possible," the association website states.
