Students pitch residential towers idea to housing summit
The Brisbane Water Secondary College students whose design ideas won challenge to address the housing crisis have addressed a regional housing summit.
They were invited to present their proposal to build residential towers on Woy Woy's Deepwater Plaza to the Central Coast Housing Summit, which had the theme of Building for the Future.
The audience included Central Coast mayor Cr Laurie McKinna and Business NSW regional director Mr Scott Goold, as well as "government reps, property developers and business leaders.
Their design wowed everyone in the room, earning praise and serious consideration as a viable option for the future of our region," said Woy Woy campus principal Ms Rebecca Cooper.
"Business NSW represents more than 3000 business members on the Central Coast.
"With ideas like these, our students are showing the power of forward-thinking to help build a more affordable, connected, and vibrant community."
