Arboretum extends environmental art trail deadlines

The Pearl Beach Arboretum has extended its deadlines for Environmental Art Trail, which will be held from Saturday, March 22, to Sunday, April 27.

Expressions of interest for the Artist in Residence and Emerging Local Artist Programs will now close on Sunday, November 24, and for art installations from individuals, groups, community organisations and schools on Monday, February 10.

Arboretum president Ms Mary Knaggs said: "The Trail provides a venue for artists to create inspiring temporary public art that promotes nature conservation, supports community identity, and increases cultural vibrancy.

"The theme for 2025 is Harmony through Nature.

"Schools, community groups and artists are invited to propose installations inspired by the natural environment."

The next Arboretum working bee will be held from 9am on Sunday, November 17, "followed by a delicious morning tea and a chin wag at 11am".

"All are welcome."
