November rainfall already greater than October

More rain has fallen in the first eight days of November than in the whole of October.

A total of 33.6mm of rain fell in October, the fifth lowest fall in 20 years, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

It was 57 per cent below the October average of 78mm.

A total of 34.2mm has already fallen in November..

October ended with a cumulative total for the year of 1238.8mm, 11.9 per cent more than the average of 1107mm at the end of October.

Only another 60mm is required before the end of the year to reach the annual average of 1298mm.

Average rainfall for November and December is 96mm and 95mm respectively.
