Traffic delays due to burst water main
Traffic delays were experienced on Brisbane Water Dr, Woy Woy, on Thursday and Friday, August 8 and 9, after a minor accident at Koolewong, followed by a burst water main at The Boulevard and reports of a "telegraph pole down".
Traffic delays in both directions on August 8 were initially due to a motor vehicle crash on Brisbane Water Dr at Koolewong.
However, a burst water main near The Boulevarde at Woy Woy soon became the main cause of southbound delays into Woy Woy.
By 3:45pm, repairs to water main and telegraph pole were under way and continued into the evening.
It was suggested light vehicles consider using Woy Woy Rd to avoid lengthy delays.
Utility crews remained on the scene the following day conducting repairs on Brisbane Water
Road at Woy Woy, near the Boulevarde.
"Alternating (stop/slow) traffic conditions" were in place to allow motorists to pass in one direction at a time.
The work was completed by the evening.
