Soccer club receives $20,000 towards operating costs
Southern and Ettalong United Football Club has received $20,000 to cover operating expenses for the soccer season.
It will be used to buy nets, corner flags, match balls, training balls, jerseys, training bibs, agility poles and markers, line marking paint and other items used for seasonal operations.
The money was awarded as Category 2 ClubGrant from Ettalong Diggers.
Southern and Ettalong United was formed in 1984 when Ettalong Beach Junior Soccer Club, which was established in 1961, joined Southern United Soccer Club, which had started in 1972.
The club was the first registered on the Central Coast and has grown to now have 780 members and 57 teams, from under-5s to men's over-45s.
It is the only Peninsula club have both Men and Women Premier League Teams currently in Central Coast Football competitions.
