Students asked to arrive later
Students at Umina Beach Public School are being encouraged to arrive at school after 8.45am.
"We have noted an increasing number of students arriving at school early, prior to teacher supervision," said principal Ms Karen Wardlaw.
"Mornings are quite busy for our staff who are working hard to prepare for the day ahead and engaging in important organisation and preparation activities.
"Supervision is not available for students until 8.45am.
"Prior to this time, students are discouraged from arriving at school.
"We ask that parents, carers and visitors are aware of morning expectations.
"Students are encouraged to arrive at school between 8.45am and 9.10 am, when teachers are on duty to supervise students.
"Any student who arrives early must sit under the Cola to await the arrival of duty teachers."
