Nominate a senior
Member for Gosford Ms Marie Andrews has called on local residents to nominate seniors and seniors' organisations to be considered for next year's NSW Seniors' Week Achievement Award.
This year, Ettalong resident and Mary Mac's Place volunteer Ms Pat Slattery received a local Seniors Week Achievement Award and was nominated for the state award.
"Older people contribute a huge amount to our local community through volunteering in community organisations, in hospitals, and in many other areas," Ms Andrews said.
"It is only right that we take the opportunity to honour them for the work that they do in making our community a better place to live."
Nominations for next year's NSW Seniors Week Achievement Awards will be received until 5pm on September 3.
Awards will be presented during Seniors Week in March next year.
