Woy Woy Bay Rd stabalised
Gosford Council carried out minor road stabilisation works on Woy Woy Bay Rd, Phegans Bay, earlier this month.
The work took place from August 10 to 13 and involved the construction of a retaining wall above the escarpment area at the location where a section of the rock face has fallen away.
"The temporary barriers in place since the rock fall were removed and replaced with guardrail," council's coordinator of project implementation Mr Peter Dunn said.
Mr Dunn said temporary control measures and warning signage were in place while the work was being undertaken to ensure the safety of workmen and the public.
A reduced speed limit was also enforced during the works.
Works were carried out around peak hour traffic to ensure minimal disruptions with considerations also given to the local bus timetable.
