Talk about food network
The Peninsula Environment Group (PEG) Food Network will hold an information session at the Peninsula Women's Health Centre on August 18, to introduce the food system to new members.
Ms Elise Barkley from the PEG Food Network will discuss how the food network came about, who they are and what they do as well as how people can get involved.
She will also bring along some samples of produce with morning tea provided.
The PEG Food Network is a non-profit, community-run initiative.
Affiliated with the Peninsula Environment Group based in Woy Woy, the network offers its members access to fortnightly fresh organic produce orders of fruit and vegetables supplied by local farmers, several bulk organic dry food orders supplied by a Sydney supplier each year as well as miscellaneous bulk orders throughout the year.
The information session will begin from 10am to 12noon.
