Netball association elects 'seven new faces'

The Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Association has elected seven new faces to its committee at its Annual General Meeting.

The meeting also adopted a new constitution.

"This is a positive step for our association as it gives us more flexibility with the policies that underpin the new constitution and also saw some of the executive committee roles be remamed or created," said president Ms Nicole Barnes.

"All roles were accepted last night, and our first council meeting was held after the annual meeting with the new executive committee and all clubs.

"A huge shout out must go to our executive committee members who are hanging up their netball bibs.

"There is many years of experience and commitment to netball that will sadly leave our courts this year.

"Our very new looking executive committee is ready to take that centre pass and keep moving forward."

Members of the new executive are president Ms Nicole Barnes, vice-president Alex Marshall, secretary Ms Jenni Blacker, treasurer Ms Lisa Kennaway, competition co-ordinator Ms Amanda Harris, representative teams convenor Ms Michelle Stone, umpires convenor Ms Lynne Bates and coaches convenor Ms Rita Perl.

Other office-bearers are assistant secretary Ms Kirsty Hardy, canteen coordinator Ms Shannon Planicka, special events coordinator Ms Alison Pardey, assistant umpire convenor Ms Lisa Holt, Net Set Go coordinator Ms Jenna Salvaterra and media and marketing officer Alex Marshall.
