Woy Woy to lose 'immensely popular' teacher
Woy Woy Public School will lose an "immensely popular" teacher with the appointment of a new principal at the school.
"It is with great sadness that we inform you that Ms Neeley Molinaroli will be replaced as classroom teacher of the 2M class," acting principal Mr Dan Betts told parents.
"Ms Molinaroli is an immensely popular figure with students and parents here at the school, as well as her colleagues on staff.
"She has established an incredibly positive classroom environment in 2M and has managed to encourage and support her students to produce their best work."
He said the appointment of the new principal, Mrs Sandy Knowles, had necessitated the "reshuffle in staffing".
"In an ideal world, we'd be able to keep hold of her for years to come but unfortunately this isn't possible.
"We do, however, sincerely hope that she will be available for casual employment at our school next term, and it goes without saying that she will be the first person thought of should any temporary positions become available later this year."
Anticipating a critical response from parents, Mr Betts asked those reading the social media post to "please leave only positive messages in this forum".
"Any concerns or queries can be directed to me in person or via the school's email address."
Mr Betts said: "While Mrs Molinaroli is a great loss the school, 2M parents can be reassured that their children will be in very good hands.
"Relieving assistant principal and Stage 1 supervisor Mr Blake Rosewarn will take over as teacher of the 2M class, with me replacing him in the off-class assistant principal (student wellbeing) role.
"I'm sure you'll join me in wishing Ms Molinaroli all the best for the remainder of the school year.
"On behalf of the entire school community, I'd like to thank her for the care she has shown for the students of 2M, and for the dedication and professionalism she displays at all times."
