Fees waived for health centre
Gosford Council will undertake a survey of the boundary and contours of the Peninsula Women's Health Centre in order to plan for expansion works for the local facility in Woy Woy.
The fees associated with the survey being undertaken by council will be waived and recorded as a donation, according to a council report.
"The Peninsula Women's Health Centre operates from a council-owned community building in McMasters Rd at Woy Woy," the report stated.
"The centre successfully applied for funding through the Area Assistance program to expand and improve services by provided improved space for group work, additional courses fitting into a holistic health model for women, and the provision of child minding for women attending the centre.
"As part of the Development Application process, a survey of the property is required.
"It was subsequently identified that council does not hold a survey for this property on record.
"It is recommended that council's surveyors conduct the survey, with the survey fees waived and recorded as a donation under Policy C5.12."
