Netball club seeks sponsors for 50th anniversary
The Brisbane Water Netball Club is wanting sponsors to support the club's 50th anniversary.
"The 2024 season is a very special year for club as we reach our 50th year operating and supporting netball on the Peninsula," said president Ms Erica Smits.
"Brisbane Water Netball Club is the oldest operating netball club on the Peninsula and the last remaining local club of the inaugural clubs.
"We urgently need support, to enable our members to participate in this years competition and so we can celebrate our momentous 50th milestone with the local Peninsula community.
"The commitee members are all volunteers, parents and workers.
"Without the generous assistance from our local community, the club would not have been running for past 50 years.
"We must not let this occasion pass us by.
"We have an opportunity to bring our previous players, coaches and members together along with the local community to share past stories and for our kids to see our community come together to celebrate their achievements."
