T-shirt to rug workshop was 'productive'
The Ettalong Beach Arts and Crafts Centre has held a T-Shirt to Rug workshop at the "Creative Hub" in Oval Ave, Woy Woy, on Thursday, December 1.
"We had a fantastic, happy and productive day at our T Shirt to Rug workshop," said tutor Ms Penny Howard.
Participants learned how to make "yarn" from old t-shirts, sheets and napkins, how to braid the yarn, then how to make a rug from the braid, Ms Howard said.
"It was great fun, trialling and learning a few different methods.
"At the same time, we were saving old textiles from land fill, a win-win situation."
