Families urged to take aged residents out for Christmas

A Woy Woy aged care home is encouraging families of its residents to take them out for Christmas meals.

"Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate families joining our elders in care with their Christmas meals at BlueWave Living again this year," said chief executive Mr Matt Downie.

"However, we encourage families to take their loved ones out to join families for Christmas meals externally," he said.

"Please remain mindful of Covid risk and exposure when doing so.

"Covid has become quite prevalent in our society again.

"It is up to all of us to do the right thing to ensure we help minimise risk to our elders in care.

"As we move closer to Christmas and the festive season, we continue to look forward to family and friends visiting loved ones at BlueWave."

Mr Downie thanked visitors for ensuring compliance and checking in as required.
