Trivia night raised $4300
The Rotary Club of Umina Beach has raised $4300 thanks to the support of more than 250 local residents.
The local Rotary club hosted a special Trivial Pursuit night that was led by well-known child psychologist Dr John Irvine of Pearl Beach.
Public relations director Mr Geoff Melville said the function was well attended by more than 250 people in the main hall of Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy Campus.
"The funds will be directed to Religious Education Ministries who pay the salaries of religious education teachers employed at the College," Mr Melville said.
"These teachers play a vital role with students that include counselling, mentoring and generally pointing the students in the right direction."
Director of Religious Education Ministries Ms Doreen Janes offered her thanks to the club and all those who assisted with the success of the night.
