Morning party
Celebrations will be held to mark the opening of a new supermarket in Umina from 7.30am on Thursday, June 17.
The store will open to the public for the first time at 8am.
The celebrations of the new $15 million Woolworths supermarket in West St, Umina, will feature a jazz band, food tasting and presentations from Gosford mayor Chris Holstein and store manager Mr David Eves.
Mr Eves said the opening will focus on showcasing the fresh food and produce the store will offer.
A Woolworths spokesperson said the store would employ 140 staff, including 50 staff members from the Flemmings supermarket across the road, which will close with the opening of the new supermarket.
