CWA branch presents $1900 to court service
The Woy Woy branch of the Country Women's Association has raised $1902 for Central Coast Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service.
Branch president Ms Margy Ure together with member Ms Di Trowbridge, who organised much of the fundraising, presented the money on Tuesday, April 30.
The branch held a movie fundraiser at Cinema Paradiso, ran a raffle with prizes and took donations for gift cards for clients of the service.
The service provides information, court support and referrals to women experiencing domestic and family violence, said Ms Ure.
Its clients were referred by police, government and non-government agencies as well as through "self-referrals".
The service provides support throughout the Court process in Gosford, Wyong and Woy Woy courts.
Anyone who is in danger or needs help should phone the service on 4346 4452 or email gosfordlcp@ccdvcas.org.au.
