Rugby league winners
Umina Public School's open rugby league team became Central Coast division champions at Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy Campus on June 25.
Team publicity officer Mr Chad Wootton said the local school side was named champion after winning three rounds of the state-wide Classic Shield competition.
Mr Wootton said the competition saw Umina compete against Kincumber, East Gosford and Toukley primary schools.
"Bryce was named player of the match in the final after scoring three tries," Mr Wootton said.
"The team now moves on to likely play the winner of the Newcastle-Hunter area in the next round of the competition."
