Morning bushwalk
The Peninsula Environment Group has organised a morning bushwalk for Sunday, July 18, along the Rampart Track in Umina.
"This little-known track is one of the best short bushwalks on the Central Coast, with fantastic views over the Peninsula and Broken Bay, plus varied terrain, wildflowers and interesting rock formations," group president Mr Mark Mann said.
"The walk is easy, with the option of a more challenging extension loop for anyone who wants to do a little 'bush-bashing' while the others relax and enjoy the views."
Interested participants are asked to meet at the Woy Woy Environment Centre at 8.30am to carpool, or at 9am at the gate to the water tank on the corner of Castle Cres and The Bastion, Umina.
Participants are encouraged to wear long trousers, closed shoes and bring along a snack for morning tea.
The Woy Woy Environment Centre is located on the corner of Blackwall and Billabong Rds, Woy Woy.
