Bays community group to hold Christmas lunch

The Bays Community Group will hold a "bring-a-plate" Christmas lunch at the Bays Community Hall at 12:30pm on Saturday, December 10.

"After a few years of dealing with the pandemic, this year we thought it might be nice to host a community Christmas get together," said president Ms Carolina Schuiling.

"It's an opportunity to catch up with neighbours over a leisurely lunch, before holiday madness strikes.

"We aim to have it outside in our garden and will put tables and chairs out.

"Bring whatever you feel like eating and feel free to swap and share."

The group will hold its annual general meeting at 7pm on Wednesday, February 15, to elect a committee for the coming year.

Vice-president Ms Ally Chuang has announced her retirement from the committee to heading overseas with her family.

"Ally has made a brilliant contribution and we'll greatly miss her positive energy," said Ms Schuiling.

Mr Dean Wignell will be acting vice-president until the annual meeting.
