Two new council directors
Central Coast Council has appointed two directors to fill "key vacant roles".
Ms Melanie Smith has been appointed Director for Community and Recreation Services, with Dr Alice Howe appointed Director for Environment and Planning.
General manager Mr David Farmer said the appointments followed an extensive interview process, with the aim to build on the existing experience and depth in Council's capabilities.
"Melanie comes from a background in local government, including in senior executive roles.
"She has extensive experience in strategic planning, operational leadership, financial, project and capital works management within the community services sector. "Alice, similarly, has extensive local government experience, in particular the environmental and planning areas, including strategic land use, natural disaster mitigation, compliance and natural resource planning."
