Cancer test kits
Umina and Woy Woy Rotary clubs are distributing bowel cancer test kits to pharmacies across the Peninsula.
Bowelscan program coordinator Mr Walter Leijten from East Gosford Rotary said bowel cancer killed almost twice as many people as breast cancer and three times more people than skin cancer.
"Bowelscan is a quick and simple test you can do at home."
Bowelscan test kits are available for $10 at all pharmacies on the Peninsula until July 3, and the cost includes pathology and result notification.
