Year 5 students asked about selective high school
Woy Woy South Public School is asking Year 5 students and their parents whether they wish to apply for a place in a selective high school.
Applications for Year 7 placement in a selective high school in 2024 close on November 16.
"Selective high schools cater for academically gifted students with high potential who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic standard," said school principal Mr Matt Barr.
"Selective high schools help these students to learn by grouping them with students of similar ability, and by using specialised teaching methods.
"If you would like to have your child considered, you need to apply on the internet.
The Selective High School Placement Test will be held next year on Thursday, May 4.
