'Arboretum' exhibition at the Botanic Gardens
Pearl Beach artist Ms Marijke Greenway will hold an "Arboretum Exhibition" in the Calyx building in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney until Sunday, March 20.
This exhibition features works inspired by the trees, palms, ponds and wildlife of the Pearl Beach Arboretum.
"The artist has painted en plein air scenery inside the Arboretum, inspired by the subjects that appeal - the strong trees, the colours and shapes, the fallen palm leaves that litter the arboretum floor, turning it pink," the exhibition notice reads.
"Also exhibited are small encaustic paintings, which are made of bees wax and oil colour and using a blowtorch instead of a brush, creating works with textured unexpected delights."
The exhibition is free and open daily from 10am to 4pm.
