Wagstaffe Hall transformed

Wagstaffe Hall was transformed into an elegant art space over the October long weekend by members of the Five Lands Artist Collective.

The annual exhibition was officially opened by ABC radio presenter Ms Linda Mottram.

Yantra de Vilder on piano and Jess Graham on violin gave a vibrant recital of a piece composed by Ms de Vilder.

In her opening remarks, Ms Mottram said: "On the Central Coast there is an artistic flowering as an expression of the kind of place it is.

"I feel there is a spiritual dimension to this place I live in," she said.

Work by Ms Bronwyn Van der Graff, winner of the 2016 Gosford Art Prize, was part of the exhibition and six other artists in the Wagstaffe exhibition were also Gosford Art Prize finalists.

Many of the artists donated works as prizes for a raffle conducted by the Wagstaffe-Killcare Community Association to help raise money for the association's Future Arts Fund.
