First place to Umina dancers

The Stage Three Dance Group from Umina Beach Public School gained first place in the Central Coast Eisteddfod recently.

The group performed their routine, Don't Speak, competing in the Primary School Year 5-6 section.

The adjudicator's feedback included that they enjoyed the song choice and theme of the dance, excellent cannon work, great characterisation and that the group worked well together as a team.

Some of the routine had to be adapted because not all students could attend due to school holiday commitments.

The dancers had to cope with some last-minute formation changes.
