Rain reaches average
The Peninsula has reached its December rainfall average with more than a week still to go, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Woy Woy.
A total of 82.smm had fallen by Friday, December 17, compared to an average for the whole month of 77.8mm.
Total rainfall for the year remained well down on average, with rainfall for the year-to-date totalling 1126mm, compared to the yearly average of 1213mm.
This is 7.2 per cent below average.
A large proportion of this month's rain fell on just four days, with more than 10mm being recorded on each of December 1, 2, 3 and 17.
