Carols with a twist
Members of the Good News Church at Umina came together on the weekend to listen to the Church Worship Team perform Christmas Carols with a twist.
The Carols night was held at 6pm on Sunday, December 19, and the 15 to 20 band members sang contemporary versions of traditional Christmas Carols adding a more upbeat flair to the songs.
Members of the Church Worship Team range in age from 15 to 50, with the youngest member playing drums and the oldest on trombone.
The band gets together fortnightly on Thursday nights to rehearse for the Sunday Church service where an alternating team of around 10 players performs every Sunday.
