Restaurants in award competition
A group of Peninsula restaurants have been nominated for the Central Coast region of the Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence.
Pearl Beach General Store and Cafe and the Cat's Pyjamas restaurant in Ettalong Beach have been nominated to receive an award under the Breakfast Restaurant category.
The Silver Dragon Restaurant in Umina has been selected under the Chinese Restaurant category while Copperpot Indian Restaurant in Umina has been named as a New Restaurant nominee.
Pearls on the Beach will once again contest for the Informal Contemporary Australian Restaurant category as will Bells at Killcare for the best Restaurant in a Hotel/Motel/Resort.
Savour Australia chief executive officer Mr John Hart said, with nominees determined after the public's vote, judges would begin to visit all nominees in this year's awards.
"The Awards for Excellence will be presented to the winners in more than 20 varying categories at a cocktail party on May 18," Mr Hart said.
