Leagues club holds shave

Woy Woy Leagues Club will be getting behind the Leukaemia Foundation this month to host a World's Greatest Shave fundraising event on Friday, March 12.

NSW Leukemia Foundation general manager Mr Stuart Allen encouraged Peninsula residents to round up their families and friends.

Many people will be shaving their hair on the night.

"There will also be lots of fantastic giveaways and a huge auction of sports memorabilia.

"It's as simple as making a donation to have your hair shaved or coloured.

"You can join in the action and shave your head or colour your hair to raise funds to support over 50 people in NSW and the ACT who are projected to be diagnosed with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders this week."
