Peter picks poem

Empire Bay resident Mr Peter Mace has taken out first place in the traditional or established works category at this year's Tamworth Bush Poetry Competition.

Mr Mace chose to recite Duke Tritton's poem The Sandy Hollow Line.

He also came in as a finalist in the original works category.

Event organiser Ms Jan Morris said Tamworth West Leagues Club provided an excellent venue for the performers to present their works under ideal conditions and sponsors.
