Learning to grow organic vegetables
A group of keen gardeners has learned how to grow their own organic vegetable gardens at Green Gate farm in Killcare earlier this month.
Organic horticulturist and permaculture expert Mr Adam McCall of Killcare is looking to help Central Coast gardeners get the most out of their gardens.
McCall said increased health awareness, rising energy prices and issues like global warming were encouraging people to discover the delights of food grown in their own gardens.
"Unfortunately many people just don't know where to start, and quite a few people are discouraged by poor results or problems they don't realise can easily be fixed by a little planning and basic knowledge," Mr McCall said.
Mr McCall said he would hold another organic gardening course in October for participants to learn how to establish and maintain a successful and thriving garden,
