Lions win second game
Woy Woy Lions Rugby Union Club won its second game of the season against The Entrance at Joseph Banks Oval on April 17.
Central Coast Rugby Union president Mr Larry Thomson said the game was "hard-fought clash" with the final score of 21 to 18 in favour of Woy Woy.
Best for Woy Woy were Kane Byrnes and Andrew McNamara, while Lachlan Gulliver and Nathan Long were outstanding for the home side.
After round two, Woy Woy first grade are fifth on the ladder with four points.
In other round two results, Woy Woy second grade won 19 to 17 against The Entrance but were defeated in third grade 36 to 17 at fulltime.
The first round for the club saw Woy Woy defeated by Avoca at Heazlett Park on April 10
"Avoca Beach continued their great form from last year when they ran in six tries to defeat Woy Woy at Heazlett Park by 44 points to 14," Mr Thomson said.
"Best players for Avoca Beach were halfback Sam Fortey and back Aaron Bolte.
"Jono Hirst had an excellent match, scoring 19 points with a try and six goals," said Mr Thomson.
